As the Summer heats up, getting out to metal detect can get tricky.  Early or late in the day when the sun is not too hot is ideal, but you also have to consider the ground condition and location.  Shady areas like the woods, and water detecting are great in the Summer.  Check out a few pieces of history that were saved by NPPF members over the Summer so far.  ​
