Metal Detecting Club Detects Somerset Horizon View Farms

NPPF members at Horizon View Farms

This past weekend, members of the metal detecting club, North Pittsburgh Past Finders, had the pleasure of spending the day at Horizon View Farms, located in Somerset County, PA. The weather was great, and the company was even better.

"Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get". Just like Forest Gump and a box of chocolates, you can never really know what you're going to find on a property, no matter how old or new it is! This is part of the excitement of metal detecting. You never come home empty handed. Sometimes the hands are full of treasure and sometimes they are full of garbage (hello world, please stop littering). But a metal detectorist always comes home happy that they played in the dirt.
